Shari Zola
Munich Re, USA Shari has been an American Re/Munich Re employee for 33+ years, and is currently a member of the IRM-Accumulation Risk Management Team of Munich Re in Princeton. She serves on a global team responsible for developing, implementing, and directing global strategy on catastrophe exposure/loss accumulation and capital risk allocations. Her focus is on the portfolio accumulation of exposures and capacity management for all U.S. entities. She is responsible for the quality assurance of cat modeling within the U.S., and implementing Munich Re Corporate Underwriting mandated Risk Accumulation guidelines and best practices across each of the business units, as well as managing the process and technology infrastructure for the catastrophe modeling function. Shari received her undergraduate degree in Business - Management Information Systems from the State University of New York at Albany, and her Masters of Business Administration from Rider University. Shari serves on the Executive Board of the International Society of Catastrophe Managers as Vice President. She also holds the CPCU, ARe, and CCRMP designations. |
Alexandre Casey
Hiscox, UK Alex is an underwriter with Hiscox where he has worked for 10 years in a variety of reinsurance roles. He currently underwrites property retrocession, and has worked across international property reinsurance and directors and officers insurance lines. Prior to underwriting, Alex was responsible for leading the London-based reinsurance analytics team covering property, specialty and casualty classes, and built the analytics platform for the new Hiscox Re ILS vehicles prior to their launch in 2014. He started his career as a graduate in the catastrophe modelling function, working predominantly in international property treaty. Alex has an undergraduate MSci in Physics from Imperial College London. |
