Join IBHS researchers as they reveal findings on two understudied aspects of hail damage,
Jake Sorber will discuss the Damage Potential of Slushy Hailstones. He earned a BS and MS in Meteorology from Penn State. He was introduced to IBHS at Penn State through the IBHS hail field campaign. Jake worked at the NWS Warning Decision Training Division (WDTD) in Norman, OK, then joined IBHS as a research project scientist working in the wind and hail mitigation. Brenna Meisenzahl will discuss the impact of High Concentrations of Small Hailstones. She graduated from The University of North Carolina at Charlotte with a BS in Meteorology, then joined IBHS full-time as a Research Project Scientist in 2019.
