About the Event
Dr. John Hillier, Senior Lecturer at Loughborough University, will lead this hands-on exercise for attendees to better understand the impact of event correlation on event losses. John Hillier is a geologist and physical geographer who uses numerical methods to model both the physics and statistics of catastrophe risk. In conjunction with the insurance industry, John's work on catastrophes aims to better understand the perils and methods to quantify them
After an introduction by the ISCM and Dr. Hillier, participants will break into small teams to solve a practical exercise, guided by ISCM moderators. This hands-on and fun event is designed to foster collaboration and practical learning for ISCM members.
This event promises to be a dynamic and engaging opportunity for ISCM members to enhance their skills and knowledge through collaborative exercises and expert insights. We hope to see you there!
