Model validation is a necessary component of catastrophe modeling and provides a more comprehensive understanding of the models' strengths and limitations, allowing users to make informed decisions.
This coffee talk will be hosted by Nicole Ciotoli, CSCR, Vice President, North America Catastrophe Advisory at Guy Carpenter and presented by Emma Reed, Senior Natural Catastrophe Research Scientist at Chubb/Tempest Re. She quantifies and communicates risk to stakeholders in both primary insurance and reinsurance. Prior to joining the Chubb Science Center in 2022, she conducted research on climate variability and change at the University of Arizona, where she received both a Ph.D. and M.S. in geosciences.
