About the Event
Losses from the past are easily taken out of context, which is why it is important to understand what goes into losses and methods on how to adjust them.
We'll discuss,
- What datasets exist today? How was each developed?
- What trends are evident?
- What is not covered in the data?
- How is the data different by region?
- What differences are there between peak and non-peak perils?
Our expert panel includes:
- Adam Smith, an applied climatologist at NOAA's National Centers for Environmental Information
- Michael Thompson, a member of Property Claim Services (PCS) at Verisk
- Matthias Sänger, owner of Zimmerberg Risk Analytics Ltd. and consultant to PERILS CRESTA AG
- Andrew Siffert, Senior Vice President / Senior Meteorologist BMS Group
This session is designed for ISCM members who want to use past CAT losses in a proper context for today's decision-making.
