The ISCM invites you to the next event in Latin America. This Spanish-language session will discuss a newly built catastrophe model in Latin America, which quantifies hurricane risk for offshore platforms risk in the region.

The Event
We introduce a hurricane catastrophe model built from the ground up using real storm tracks and detailed simulations, designed to assess offshore oil platform exposure in regions without existing commercial models. The framework enables the estimation of wind intensities and quantifiable, insurable losses, supporting improved decision-making for offshore energy risk management.
This promises to be an enlightening event discussing topics that are high priority for the (re)insurance industry in the region.
