Event Overview:
Wildfire risk in Europe is evolving, and understanding it requires combining recent loss experience with current scientific research at global, European and Czech levels. Please join the ISCM for a discussion on what the catastrophe modelling community needs to do to understand and reflect the latest wildfire impacts.
The event will start with a brief introduction by the ISCM. This will be followed by a presentation on recent natural catastrophe losses, with a focus on wildfire (15 minutes, by Michal Lörinc from Aon’s Catastrophe Insight team) and a presentation with Q&A on wildfire risk (45 minutes, by Dr. Zahradníček from CzechGlobe and the Czech Academy of Sciences).
Following the presentations, please stay for a networking reception where you can meet with your peers and industry colleagues.
